Conférence Performance

Présentation des 10 ans du Générateur

From 6 p.m.

Free admission

An art and performance venue, Le Générateur opened its 600m2 space in 2006, right in the heart of the historic Gentilly district, to dedicate it to all contemporary expressions, particularly visual arts and performance.

Anne Dreyfus, dancer and choreographer, and Bernard Bousquet, painter and entrepreneur, take over this former cinema, “le Gaité Palace”, and with the active complicity of the City of Gentilly, in record time, launch the start of an ambitious and daring artistic adventure to which the public (over 4000 spectators in 2015) will respond enthusiastically.

Ten years on, the record speaks for itself: 11 Nuits blanches, 8 editions of the FRASQ festival, an annual gathering of performance art, 87 residencies and over 450 guest artists.

An independent, autonomous venue, subordinate only to itself, created and managed by artists, Le Générateur welcomes to its open, minimalist space multiple singular and often transdisciplinary proposals, ignoring boundaries and blending visual arts and live performance, writing of gesture and poetry of word.

Le Générateur is 10 years old! and opens the festivities for its anniversary year with a 1er highlight focusing on performance and the visual arts.
