Responding at short notice to the Générateur’s invitation, the Parisian-Montreuillois label Abri Catalog lands in Gentilly with four radical electronic concerts!
Four very singular visions of musical creation and its most cramped entrenchments, which nonetheless share the same appetite for exhilarating experimentation.

Elvin Brandhi
Elvin Brandhi (also a member of Yeah You) is an artist from Bridgend, Wales. She constructs radical, limping beats from field-recordings, magnetic tape, vinyl, instruments and her voice. Her music is resolutely unpredictable and hyperactive, where the coldness of autotune rubs shoulders with the heaviness of bass music. A sound like a Cronenbergian bio-technological monster, as disarming as it is intoxicating, where futuristic shock dances to the rhythm of contorted club sounds.
His performances are veritable explosions of electronic rage in which the artist’s vocal improvisations emerge. Thank you Elvin for the catharsis.

A_R_C_C
Since approximately 2014, Arnaud Rivière and C_C have joined forces in the Association de Recherche Contre le Concert.
Around a table entirely covered with cheap electronic equipment (4-track-K7 tape recorder looped on itself, smashed electrophone, prepared mixing desk, desynchronized drum machines etc), they mix beats & noises & vice-versa. In other words, A_R_C_C’s music leans as much towards the seriously sloped dance floor as it does towards the noise-sharpened sound system.
Perfectly adapted to the issues of the present and mischievously energizing, the musical proposals of duo de traviole question gesture as much as the rest.

Leandro Barzabal
A native of Argentina and active in musical experimentation since 2001. His concerts oscillate between physical (and sometimes brutal) performance and electroacoustic composition with DIY electronic instruments. For this in-situ sound performance, Leandro Barzabal moves into the Générateur with his multitude of DIY sound objects. Just goes to show, messy is beautiful.

Peow Beow
Co-founder of ABRI CATALOG, Peow Beow is an artist wearing many hats (fluorescent and multicolored) (composition, text, video…).
Reflecting his generation, which grew up between YouTube and the TV show Tracks, he draws as much inspiration from Dean Blunt’s cut-up approach as from Cartier God’s naive trap, or from the experimentation of Klein (Hyperdub) or Throbbing Gristle. Combining aesthetics: yes. As long as you never get stuck in one.
For this live show, Peow Beow will spit his absurd poetry on the mic, somewhere between automatic writing and freestyle, oscillating between his raw voice and autotuno-distorted effects. What’s more, armed with his Roland SP404, he’ll destroy the beats he’s so carefully composed. The club is never far from the construction site.
