NEW NIGHT BLANCHE DEROULÉ FOLLOWING THE ARRÊTÉ PRÉFECTORAL DU 29.09.20
In order to assert an artistic presence – essential in the times we’re living through – Le Générateur is maintaining its programming by bringing together all performances and installations (initially planned for the public space) in its vast volume from 7pm to 2am. This decision follows the prefectoral decree issued two days ago (parks and gardens no longer open to the public).
The artists and the entire Générateur team look forward to seeing you again for this special Nuit Blanche, which undoubtedly reveals once again the relevance of performance art: its ability to adapt and work in the most unexpected contexts.
In this particular context, we thank you in advance for your kindness insofar as Nuit Blanche at the Générateur can only take place with a capacity of 90 people at a time. Let’s all stand shoulder to shoulder as we continue to work together to apply the barrier gestures that remain essential to maintaining artistic and cultural life in the weeks ahead.

For its 15ème Nuit Blanche Saturday October 3 from 7pm to 01am, Le Générateur brings together some thirty artists in a 5-hour epic of performances, installations and musical and choreographic actions that unfold both at the Générateur and in Gentilly’s public space. From the Parc Pablo Picasso via the Service Culturel forecourt, from 7pm onwards, the public will discover a series of surprising works: a giant inflatable object in motion, a parade of mythological figures adorned with masks and luminous costumes, and playful cubic modules nestled among century-old trees. Further on, spectators attend a nocturnal reading on parchments and/or find themselves caught up in a collective of some twenty extravagant performers. A night of performances carried by the haunting sounds of a trombone. At the Générateur, the event kicks off at 8pm with the screening of Scoopitones and the presentation of a puppet performance against domestic violence in an oversized plastic installation.
