Following an initial collaboration at FRASQ 2011 (Alberto Sorbelli’s L’esthétique de la folie), Générateur and Melkior Théâtre are teaming up for a second time, co-producing Je deviens Jimi Hendrix.

I become Jimi Hendrix is a literary and multimedia experience.
Literary for its use of language, Eric Da Silva’s lyrical, raw, organic, excessive, jubilant language. Multimedia for the high degree of simultaneity between text, sound and image, live or deferred, and the interaction with the audience.
The author-actor composes a character, Jihache, a hybrid avatar of Jimi Hendrix, himself imagined as a mixed-race ethnic figure.
Would you take LSD with me?

“Wasn’t it JH who said, I’m a voodoo child? He also used to say, when I look in the mirror, I think I’m Marilyn Monroe – believe me, you can get out of your body, it exists, and it’s not an intellectual experience, you use your brain like this, like that, but basically it’s your ability to seize moments.”
