Both neighbors and artistic accomplices, the Théâtre de Vanves and le Générateur renew their collaboration by relocating Artdanthé to Gentilly for one evening!
For this 24th edition, true to its DNA, Artdanthé offers an abundance of programming, illustrating the diversity of choreographic aesthetics, formats and inspirations.
The festival returns to large-scale shows rarely presented in previous editions. Live music, especially the voice, runs like a red thread through several of the festival’s shows, bringing together dancers and musicians on stage. International artists will also be present, from Italy, Greece, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Korea and even Argentina.

BREAKING THE BACKBOARD
BREAKING THE BACKBOARD is a creative UFO directed by choreographer Marinette Dozeville and visual artist Frédéric Xavier Liver, conceived in 2020 with Les Panthères de Sainte-Savine.
BREAKING THE BACKBOARD is a dance performance created from the vocabulary, gestures, systems of play and movement of basketball.
Without competition, without matches, without baskets and essentially without balls, it’s a choreographic and plastic reading carried by the physical commitment of the players. The performance proposes a real porosity between the sporting discipline and the artistic discipline, and a real encounter between dance audiences, basketball audiences, and fans of the team!

UNAUTHORISED
In UNAUTHORISED, Iris Karayan appropriates a range of video materials gleaned from the internet (music videos, excerpts from boxing matches, tennis matches…) before cutting them up and reworking them into a new composition. Taking a closer look at some of the ways in which the body is represented, performed and mediatized in sport and pop culture, the work transforms into a live collage of enactments and physical performances challenging the body’s stubborn physicality…
Interpreters: Georgios Kotsifakis, Yiannis Tsigkris, Ioanna Paraskevopoulou
Support : Ministry of Culture and Sports (Greece)
