FRASQ moves into one of Paris’s smallest and most dynamic galleries in the heart of Paris for the first time. Moving FRASQ from the “cathedral space” of the Générateur to the “showcase space” of the Galerie Nivet-Carzon was an exciting and risky move!
Galerie Nivet-Carzon programming partners and FRASQ regulars, the artist duo Y LIVER were just waiting for an opportunity to offer Anne Dreyfus and the artists she defends a chance to step out of the Générateur’s vast space.
A small showcase that can only hold around twenty people at a time, the Galerie Nivet-Carzon takes advantage of the street as an open reception space and thus becomes the ideal place to experiment with this dizzying change of scale.
A privileged moment to propose new writing in a different light, in a completely different proximity to the public and in a different relationship to time, this special edition of FRASQ is above all an opportunity to check the virginity of the gaze we cast on these performances with which the Générateur has familiarized us. We may still discover the same naked bodies, the same poetic experiments, the same physical and sensory explorations, the same letting go, but the will to express a singular opinion and the pleasure of giving birth to an unexpected piece of language will always remain in the background…
