Ambient punk, expé, noise, bruitisme…for the third edition of Large Retenue, for an evening of four concerts, musicians, artists and performers occupy the 400 m2 of the Générateur in complete freedom.
Through performance, experimental music amplifies, twists and mutates. Large Retenue, like an anagram of the Générateur, like a paradox: the constraint of the gesture and the scale of the venue invite sonic exploration.

First there was the hardware war. A digital scourge that swept the
world, killing millions of souls.
The Great Synthetic BUNKER took power and forged a corrupt empire of
blood and ashes to unearth what lies in the darkest corners of your
mind. A despised “leech” that creeps into your dreams and feeds on your
fears.
I am the one they fear.

This musical duo formed by Apolline Schöser and Nocola Henry compose songs in several languages. They’ve been experimenting with collage, contrast and sonic magic for 10 years now.

But you should know that the concerts are treated quite differently. They explore the staging as much as the silences between two notes of guitar, so that from their gentle acoustic ritornellos can emerge stirring amplified fulgurances.

The Nantes-based duo, birthed by Blockhaus DY10, plays with sparkles – strobes, smoke, smells, childish pyrotechnics, mischievous gestures.
In total darkness, waves and flashes respond to each other, clash, ignite.
An intense attempt at immersion where, very quickly, everything goes off the rails.
