Postthuman Cartographies invites artists to trace the shifting lines of a world no longer understood as a fixed human territory, but as a relational and elemental field – traversed by resonances, technological fragilities and the vitality of the living.

Rooted in Rosi Braidotti’s affirmative posthuman philosophy, this evening refuses both humanist nostalgia and techno-utopian mirages. Here, cartography posthuman designates a way of grasping the present through situated, embodied and imaginative practices recognizing that we live in a moment where ends and beginnings coexist. These cartographies invite us to pay attention to the ecosystems of which we are a part, to experiment with new orientations and to create gestures of relationship and care. Together, they sketch out a shared terrain where other forms of belonging, transformation and construction of the world can emerge.

Postthuman Cartographies closes the Rhizome Rosi international colloquium (January 15-16, 2026), dedicated to the work of philosopher Rosi Braidotti. Hosted at Reid Hall and organized by the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, it brings together researchers and artists around the feminist, posthumanist and nomadic legacies of her thought.

With : Rosi Braidotti, Elena Giulia Abbiatici, Caroline McManus, Anzhelika Chernobai, Iris Dittler and Agnes Schneidewind, Mauro Suarez Torrico, Elena Perez and Romane Morilhat, Salomé Dahéron and Jeanne Bigot Romane Piffaut , Duo Hantu (Weber+Delsaux), Romina De Novelis, Elena Mazzi, Kreemart, Orlan

Future Humans is a program of the Berggruen Institute, directed by Dr. Claire Isabel Webb. It explores the futures of life, mind and space – from microbes to AI to potential extraterrestrial life. Through research, creation and speculative performance, Future Humans questions what it means to be human in an age of planetary and technological transformations.
