Cloé Brochard

Born in Clermont-Ferrand in 1995, she lives and works in Paris. A graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Nantes/Saint-Nazaire since 2019, she works in sculpture and installation, drawing inspiration from control devices and observation systems. Through pieces such as (Re)voir or L’oeil 2.0, she recontextualizes surveillance systems to show their ubiquity. Cloé Brochard questions the impact this type of media can have on our perception of reality.

She questions our contemporary relationships to optics, surveillance and privacy by engaging a critical eye on the omnipresence of surveillance tools within our societies. Cloé Brochard has notably taken part in the FURTHEST FOREIGN FREE FACTORY exhibition at Suncheonman Jeongwon in South Korea, the Hystérie de l’éternité exhibition at Galo and the GO WEST exhibition at the Beaux-Arts gallery in Nantes.
