Maëva Lu-chi-vang is an artist and set designer who earned her DNSEP degree from the Pavillon Bosio in June 2025. Her practice lies at the intersection of video installation, performance, and spatial sound design. Drawing on a musical background marked by choral singing and violin studies, she places vocal polyphony at the heart of her work. Through voice, movement, and a focus on space, she explores the tensions between individuality and the collective, free will and control—all of which serve as potential pathways to the act of creation. Her work is developed in situ, in dialogue with the architecture and exhibition spaces, which she treats as active partners in the performance. Her projects often take the form of open choirs, accessible to everyone, based on simple, non-virtuosic gestures, where the shared experience takes precedence over technical mastery. Maëva has participated in exhibitions in Monaco, Bordeaux, and Paris.
