An engineer and researcher in applied mathematics for 3D radar and medical imaging, as well as a classical guitarist, Romain AL. has reinvented himself as a visual artist working with musicians, collectives, and orchestras mainly involved in the world of improvised and experimental music.
As a director and digital developer, he composes hybrid audiovisual performances such as our “art and science” trio TAI YANG & Al. Al., the participatory installation/performance via the audience’s smartphones @TABLÉE, the show CIRCLES (variations on 5 paintings by Fabienne VERDIER), the video creation for the Orchestre National de Jazz, our duo Linda Oláh & Al., the dispersive show MiMo, etc.
