June 2022, the Compagnie Dans le Ventre celebrates its 15th anniversary!

After the 10-year anniversary party PLUS GROS QUE LE VENTRE, the stage-hungry company celebrates again with the audience through performances concocted especially for the evening.

Orchestrated by visual artist and performer Charlie Chine, and artist Rébecca Chaillon, this evening could take space on the grounds of a middle school in the image of the company’s next creation.

The classrooms, corridors, steps, playground, canteen and toilets where you can vomit your rage and intimacy. The passage of time will be at the center of our installation. Dring!!! The party’s started.

Since 2006, a number of shows have seen the light of day at its heart. From L’estomac dans la peau, to Plutôt Vomir que Faillir, from Monstres d’Amour to Carte Noire nommée Désir, from our Chèvre* to our Chatte* by way of our Cochonne* and our Vache* we have brewed a bestiary of subjects where engagement is always at the rendezvous. Performances about bodies and the systems of domination that constrain them, desiring bodies and struggling bodies that play together.

Dans le Ventre is like a big family with so many branches that they don’t know each other so well. To celebrate the body-company that has matured and grown, the various show teams and artist friends mingle for a performative installation about adolescence, the so-called ungrateful age, in short their fifteen AND a half years.

Do we have dream hairs to embody ? What tears flow from our hormone-filled bodies ? To whom do we wish to be spectacularly ungrateful ? What’s still growing in us ?
