The festival Les Échappées makes room for all forms of writing combined with music, poetry, digital arts and performance. An event initiated by the Val de Marne departmental council and taking place in 5 cultural venues across the region.

- Atari Poem & my soul in flesh

L’Atari Poem, projection of Jacques Donguy’s mythical generative poem conceived in 1993 on an Atari 520ST & mon âme en chair, scène-mouvante by Sarah Cassenti, the crowned bird crosses the demarcation, landing on the complicit bodies.

- Pd-extended I, Digital Poetry in Pure Data

The idea is that of an infinite text, since there is a machine, even if it’s a software machine. AI doesn’t invent anything. It randomly manages data chosen by the artist, according to his artistic choice. The “Pd-extended” series, literally “Pure Data élargi”, dates from 2013, set up with the help of Philippe Boisnard. Jacques Donguy took an early interest in printer’s output texts. In 1986, at a performance festival, he read out to the microphone printer outputs from atomic power plants supplied to him by the artist Jean-Luc Moulène, as he says and illustrates in a recent article entitled “Numérique et oralité” published in the magazine Inter n°137 devoted to the practices of silence, sound and orality (presses du réel).

With Events 19 Anne-James Chaton continues to listen to the contemporary world through the textual traces it continuously emits. After Events 99, this new opus reveals new figures and other global geographies. The languages have also changed, as has the author’s compositional process, as he revisits this monodic flow of information with each passing decade.
Evénements 19 will be published on the NOTON label in September 2022.

This sound piece is like a digression around a theme and the evocations and mental images of the participants. It is broadcast during this workshop restitution and is punctuated by interventions (phrases, texts, words) from the participants. As Sarah Brown regularly hosts a program entitled Domestic noise, this performance-restitution is broadcast live on the experimental and highly poetic radio station p-node.org.

Pneuma-recital is a moment of experimentation with language pushed to its limits. Words become signals, punches, physical displacements of waves. Phrases dance, disorienting the obvious, forming a carnival of speech.
