Métazoa process is a device that brings together beings from different families in a given space. Each is a matrix in motion, eager to experiment with the environment and life forms around it. The Métazoa process is a whole in which the living element performs a precise function, the extent of which remains to be discovered.
Questions of play, of doing, of not doing, of involvement and disinvestment, are played out between the audience and the four artists, Sofi Hémon (Visual Arts), Dulce Trejo (Dance), Laurent Pascal (Music), Inna Maaimura (Performance-action). Spectators are invited to experience Métazoa process from the inside. Their perceptions, their feelings influence the performers’ movements and naturally (or unknowingly), they become one of the device’s breathing systems.”
