In life in disguise, there is no show. There is only the unfolding of lives, of all lives, colourful, burlesque, improvised, futile. We come in from the outside; we cross consciences, connivances, smiles, hellos, exchanges; the corridors of social life… and then hop! None of that; cut off, suspended in mid-air! The desire to play is at the heart of the matter. We undress without giving it much thought. Nudity takes hold of us, just as death will take hold of us one day. That’s just the way it is.
