Amesys vs. Living with Noise

Somaticae & Laurent Carlier

Audiovisual concert

” To live with noise is to live with the disorder of surveillance. Living with noise is a way of taming spectrums at the edge of the perceptible, where surveillance is obsolete.”

Under his pseudonym Somaticae, Amédée De Murcia explores rhythmic excursions filled with breaks and caught in a quivering bath of saturation and feedback. The making of his record was inspired by – and is dedicated to – Amesys, the French company responsible for the surveillance software technologies used by several dictatorships around the world. Laurent Carlier – creator of Vision’R VJ Festival and curator of the exhibition Vidéosurveillance, sur-prise du visible – joins in, for the duration of the concert, with a live VJ creation.

M Δ G N Δ

Annabelle Playe, Cassandre Muñoz, Alexandra Radulescu, Nadia Ratsimandresy

Music – Dance – Lighting – Video

From electricity in the body to the mise en abîme of electronic music, 3 creators on stage wield waves and frequencies between lightning strikes, electrocution and trance. Powerful, these sister witches electrify the codes of the concert, deploying new listening spaces.

M Δ G N Δ is a musical project in which dance, light and video are integrated into the compositional process.

M Δ G N Δ articulates around the theme of electricity and, more broadly, magnetism: the circulation of fluids and passages to phenomenal or invisible worlds. Thunderstorms, cosmic discharges: how do these phenomena enable us to transcend our finitude?
