The Battle experimental (dis)connected emphasizes confrontation but also encounters between personal dances known as “experimental, abstrakt or free”.
TheExperimental category will take place like a conventional battle in 1vs1.
The(Dis)connected category will bring dancers together (draw) and propose that they interpret a defined theme together. The winner will be the pair who can best (dis)connect.
This battle will be accompanied by DJ Tismé and will conclude with a Jam Session open to all styles, ages and levels.
And many more surprises in store …
The Wynkl association offers training, exchange and teaching time dedicated to professional and amateur dancers, from all disciplines, aspiring to develop their own body language. It fosters interdisciplinary collaboration through shared research processes, between dancers and other artistic fields. Without overlooking the importance of care through dance and working for the emergence of new gestures, Wynkl supports the evolution of dances and dancers and leaves room for avant-garde and/or experimental personal expression. It’s a movement in perpetual evolution, attempting to transcend codes and stylistics. Although there may be some similarities between the two, there are as many “experimental” dances as there are dancers experimenting. Experimenting with your dance is an effective way of making it evolve. Wynkl supports experimental creations/performances that highlight this trend.
