The B. Painted Show is an artistic event in which parades, choreographic actions, performances and live music will emerge in the form of unusual, never-before-seen tableaux vivants.

The B. Painted Show is neither a fashion show nor a performance, it’s an invitation to travel  between body, matter and color.

Movement, painting and haute couture come together, disturb each other, draw closer, merge to offer the outside eye a unique, authentic moment…pure emotion.

Bodies are enveloped in abstract paintings, leading to movement or immobility. A dialogue is created between live music and moving artists.

The series of original creations that the painter calls “clothes-paintings” is proposed as a score for dancers, performers and musicians.

On the B. Painted show

As dancers and creators, they seek to confront, in B. Painted Show, to the unknown, to authentic, spontaneous creation consistent with the theme of reciprocity. Each art nourishes and is nourished by the other.

they seek what is simple and what is complex, what is absurd and what is concrete, what is chaotic in calm: the ephemeral and permanent artistic gesture.

In improvisation they explore the accuracy of the artistic proposition, the clarity of movement, the pure gesture.

Origine

L’Ensemble /K/inêtikos was born of a meeting between two dancers, Eneas Vaca Bualo and Léa Bridarolli, curious, travelers…who want to see beyond pure technique. Movement, back and forth between their dances, their gestures, but also between the arts in general.

” We wanted to weave more links between artists in our discipline (dance) and these other arts (theater, singing, cinema) but also create links with the architectural, technological, scientific, urban planning sectors…To see original, unprecedented ideas born, with no barriers to the imagination.

By creating this ” ensemble “, our wish is to create hybrid projects and enable artists of all kinds to come together, generate ideas and see multidisciplinary artistic creations emerge, conceived in common, with dance, movement as the link, the core of each proposal. “

Artistic creation has no limits, no frontiers, the Ensemble /K/ brings together artists from all horizons, all disciplines, all nationalities.

Since its creation, the Ensemble /K/ has produced two full-length creations ” PIA & MAREAS “, a duet between dance and theater and ” RECIPROCALS ” in collaboration with visual artist Bernard Bousquet, and several short-form performances as well as video-dances.

Playing with social codes as much as artistic ones, convinced that the solitude of the studio if not of the artist is a necessary passage for his activity as a painter, having no time to lose and resistant to any concession to the art world, Bernard Bousquet in parallel to painting, studied medicine and psychiatry then created his company to free himself from material constraints.

Bernard Bousquet collaborated between 1987 and 2001 on the creations of choreographer Anne Dreyfus creating her sets and scenography. Large abstract canvases, sculptures parodying contemporary art, sophisticated and implausible furniture, neo-grunge sets, disproportionate photographic enlargements of body details were great moments of encounter between his universe as a visual artist, dance and music.

About the B.Painted collection

Bernard Bousquet created this first collection from paintings made on several hundred meters of fabric in 2020 during a creative residency at the Générateur.

In a desire to broaden his creative tools and horizons, he took hold of a voluminous stock of unused haute couture fabrics, left in disuse. These rich textile materials proved an unexpected and ideal medium for affirming the pictorial universe he has always championed.

Each garment by B.painted thus extends his work and shifts his practice into a new dynamic. Hitherto static (paintings hung on the wall), his painting has become mobile, moving, moved on textiles and transformed into everyday clothing.

The collection B.painted astonishes and thus imposes itself through an unabashed and limitless pictorial creativity that blends hallucinatory, psychedelic abstractions, intricate detail, illusion of movement and volumes.

Most of the garments from B.painted are designed from unisex, inclusive patterns. They are supple, loose-fitting and wearable on an everyday basis, even if they sometimes stand out for their theatrical dimension.

Wearing a piece by B.painted is an experience, a different way of moving and feeling among others. Like the performances presented in the extravagant Performance Parade, the B.painted pieces affirm the performative dimension of clothing.

When it’s singular, different, it generates a playful and aesthetic dynamic dialogue. It is able to joyfully shake up a situation, a context by displaying itself with wit and humor.

Today, the B.painted collection includes over sixty pieces featuring the following styles: oversized shirt jackets, coat shirts, hoodies, coats, straight skirts, sheaths, leg chaps, arm chaps, suits, pleated pants or even bell-bottom pants.
