With its loyal local partners – La Maison de la Photographie Robert Doisneau, Le Lavoir Numérique, La Médiathèque and Service culturel – Le Générateur once again invades the center of Gentilly with a bushy artistic program of performances, live music and original plastic and sound installations. With Le Générateur’s space as a launch pad, poetry will be there, vivid and ardent, at every stage of this artistic journey through the city.
This year’s large-scale event returns to its longstanding mantra: accessibility for all, a unique opportunity to collectively discover
the value of mixing, of artistic cross-fertilization, of encounters between artists, Gentile and metropolitan audiences.
GENERATOR PROGRAMMING
Continuous performances throughout the evening from 8pm to 1am
As each project unfolds, the Générateur space redefines, transforms and changes skin. A true chameleon, its 400m2 continues to surprise us. This year, for the first part of the evening, Le Générateur immerses us in XXL projections of images created in real time by composer and video artist Sabina Covarrubias. An audiovisual concert that can be enjoyed as a long listen or a free wander, Café con Pan is the culmination of a double creative residency supported by Lavoir Numérique and Le Générateur.
Later in the evening, a second wind will carry the audience away in an exhilarating and rousing poetic Dj set. Accompanied by the techno duo Housecall DJs, author and slammer Selim-a Atallah Chettaoui, will lay down an unbridled poetic and dancing path with her bewitching voice
.Café con Pan
Sabina Covarrubias
Café and Bread in Spanish, is the name of a rhythm in the traditional music of Veracruz, Mexico, but also the name of a delicious combination of dishes typical of these lands that is usually offered for breakfast.
Artist and composer Sabina Covarrubias plays with this tradition, envisioning Café con Pan as a joyful blend of diverse musical, sonic and visual elements to give birth to a “delicious” sono-visual recipe.
Here she constructs a dialogue between traditional music from Mexico, Senegal, techno music and experimental electronic music.
The images are generated from an original musical composition and sound elements assembled especially for Café con Pan. Synchronized with the music, computer-generated images and photographs result in the creation of videos produced and projected in real time.

Since 2021, Selim-a Atallah Chettaoui and DJ duo Housecall have collaborated on poetic Dj sets where words, bodies and beats intertwine.
Between poetry and electronic music, they dialogue in experimental question-answers in a mix of genres as energetic as they are soaring, inviting you to navigate between listening and dancing.

in the Paris metro
in the New York subway
travel is the only place I know how to inhabit”

Face au Générateur

25 mmmmmmmmmeters!
Catherine Ursin
“Make the long immaculate wall of the Generator take the air, turn its skin inside out, lay it in the sun and let it dry in the wind.” Catherine Ursin
In a powerful pictorial gesture, Catherine Ursin unfurls a 25-meter canvas in front of the Generator. Relentlessly and in a frantic rhythm, she turns the Generator’s skin inside out before the public’s gaze, unfurling her instinctive, improvised painting at the whim of her imagination.
The completed fresco wall, smeared with his black forms, human, animal, hybrid will resume its place in its initial lair, inside the Generator in a collective and improvised procession.

By my mouth, the foam
Aurore Laloy aka Meteora
Textile creation of Pythia’s veil: Bernard Bousquet
“At the foot of the hill,
Far from glances and sighs,
Time becomes slower,
And escapes us,
We enter the embrace of a voice and the laughing water of a song,
The heart laden with smiles.”
Meteor
Météora, poetess from the island of Groix, welcomes the public for individual consultations or small groups. Behind her veil, like an oracle, she awakens visions provoked by the public’s presence in the shimmering water, and through her open mouth, her voice transforms into waves, songs, poems, mysterious words offered as keys, dreams, revelations.

Les Revenantes du Lavomatic
Cyril Leclerc
with Mo., Dawn Rushton and Sophie Cornillif
Author of the Bagnoles installation at Nuit Blanche 2022, Cyril Leclerc takes over a laundromat for this edition, a popular venue that he transforms into a disturbing and mysterious space where presences from the beyond will be summoned. Borrowing from both magic lanterns and phantasmagoria, Les Revenantes du Lavomatic is inspired by the legend of the night washerwoman.
This visual and sound installation offers a supernatural, dreamlike experience where tales of women past and present, condemned to wash and wander by washhouses to atone for their sins for eternity, intersect.

Hundred ways to find a way
Sébastien Gschwind & François Bianco
“Sometimes balance isn’t much, and gravity, I make my own. It starts with a simple element, repeated, assembled, shared, that insists on building figures… Figures that generate space. We pass through them, and spend time in them. Something like the origin of a space: an enclosure, a home. But more open. A common space? A perpetual shelter! “ Sébastien Gschwind
In this very special space of crossroads and intersections between La médiathèque and Maison Doisneau, Sébastien Gschwind sets up an evolving playground in which the public can take part. Contemplate or participate in the construction of the installation Hundred ways to find a way? Everyone can choose.
Integrating a collective creation workshop into the construction of his sculpture, Sébastien Gschwind invites every gentilléen.n.e.s to bring a used T-shirt, but clean, washed and ironed, and a hanger.
At the end of the performance, everyone leaves with an original T-shirt: their own or their neighbor’s on a barter basis.

Léa Bridarolli and Eneas Vaca Bualo (Ensemble /K/inêtikos)
With Geoffrey Carlassare, Alice Cathelineau, Victor De Coninck, Francesco Gabrieli, Céline Paul, Marc Planceon, Florencia Segura, Capucine Veltz
A photo studio is set up at the Lavoir Numérique!
In a few minutes and a few clicks, each visitor is photographed and leaves with their portrait in their pocket.
B.Painted Shooting is an invitation to taste the pleasure of transforming oneself, wearing unique and colorful painted garments in a playful and festive atmosphere.
The two choreographer-dancers Léa Bridarolli and Eneas Vaca Bualo compose live a series of tableaux vivants in which the audience can, as they please, slip in, participate and invent their own universe.
It’s a promise to become the prince or queen of an evening, an invitation to try on other identities.
B.Painted Shooting is a wink and a tribute to African photography of the 50s and 60s *. It’s also a nod to the Maison de la Photographie Robert Doisneau, Le Lavoir’s twin structure and partner of the Nuit Blanche event.
*”There’s an immediate charm to African studio photography, a nobility to the portraits, as if everyone, once past the professional’s lens, became the prince and queen they were deep down inside.”
Fabien Ribery
